Select list type when providing RACE|RESULT output
We added the option to select the list type from "Results", "Live" and "Participants" when you want to embed a RACE|RESULT ranking through Racemap Apps.
Stay tuned to our live tracking platform: new features, enhancements, and resolved issues
We added the option to select the list type from "Results", "Live" and "Participants" when you want to embed a RACE|RESULT ranking through Racemap Apps.
The latest version of Racemap tracking app (and of our custom apps ;-) animates the opening/closing of the navigation panel. Spectators are given clearer feedback when using the Racemap app.
In order to make our interactive tracking maps more intuitive we released a couple of enhancements. Here are the three most relevant improvements:
We are sure the spectators of your sports events will love these improvements.
As always our improvements apply to the replays of your past events also. Read all information about the features for our visualization of sports events in the documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/how-to-use-live-tracking/basic-features-of-racemap-tracking-map
The Racemap leaderboard provides a holistic evaluation of the participants' continuous location data in a result list. We now added two columns to our leaderboard add-on:
Each element of the leaderboard can be disabled in the add-on settings.

In Racemap tracker management, you can now schedule the commands for our Pro GPS trackerwith a time.
This new "planned message" feature makes it possible to put several commands in a sequence. That way you can schedule the behavior of your GPS trackers during an event.
With this new feature and the message queue, multiple messages can be scheduled before the event which reduces the on-site effort for live tracking dramatically.
For example, during a two stages event, you just need to manually switch on all devices to receive the 1st planned message for sleep mode. Short before the first stage starts on Saturday morning our tracker management sends the 2nd message for live tracking with a 5 sec report interval. At the finish time of the first stage, all devices receive the 3rd message for sleep mode. Until Sunday morning, all devices receive the 4th message for live tracking and so on. When the event is over, all devices receive the shutdown message.
You can now activate the leaderboard add-on for a group of stages, also. Similar to our proven leaderboard solution for single events you can easily embed any 3rd party result list for stages.
Since last season we provide small HTML apps that make live data from endurance races easily usable for video productions such as TV overlays. The spotter is our latest release. For example, this tool feeds the speaker with real-time information from anywhere on the race course.

Currently, we develop a new dashboard for bulk usage of all of your GPS tracker from scratch. You will be able to preview & test our new Tracker Management in your Racemap account, soon. We are excited about your feedback already.
In the last two years, customers proposed enhancementS for the (de)activation process of devices, and some asked to ease the pricing of the tracker management also. Reason enough to simplify both, the activation process & the pricing.
As the 2nd step of launching the new tracker management, we initialize a more convenient charging for its usage on the 1st of January 2023. Find all details below. Do not hesitate to drop us a line with your feedback.
In case you don't want to pay for lifetime usage of the tracker management you select the subscription and pay only when using it.
In case you don't use your GPS trackers for example during the off-season, we don't charge for tracker management.
On the 1st of January, all devices in your tracker management except Racemap devices will be archived, automatically. You can easily restore devices & make them usable in tracker management again.

Our Tracker Management is the remote control for many location devices through GPRS messaging - sending commands, receiving SOS- & crash alerts, and status reports on the battery, reception & GNSS. We are currently developing a completely new dashboard for bulk managing GPS trackerS. The 1st enhancementS have been rolled out, already and you can get their advantage when commanding your GPS devices.
We released to directly send commands (beta) if devices are connected with tracker management (online). Previously commands could be sent only when Racemap received a message from the corresponding device, which can take some minutes.
We also rolled out to evaluate the acknowledge (ACK) response when Queclink GL3XY devices receive a command. The command queue now provides clear information on when a command was created, sent, and acknowledged.

For a couple of months now, we are providing the grabber to pull real-time data from endurance races and make the data usable for live productions such as video broadcasting. Time for an update.
We now added the new parameters gap
, gapAverage
, gapChase
and gapDistance
to the grabber. Additionally, there can be set a refDeviceId
or a refStartNumber
to flexibly define the reference device for the gap calculations.
Furthermore, the drafting- and related penalty discussion at triathlons let us develop a prototype of a drafting tool. The tool evaluates the distance between participants and monitors if participants move in the draft zone.
