SOS enabled for mictrack MT825 GPS tracker

Racemap now supports SOS alerts for the mictrack MT825 GPS tracker. If the GPS device is active in Racemap Tracker Management our safety monitor processes SOS alerts.

Read more about the monitor and the tracker management in our documentation.

Elevation profile shown in prediction

We received questions about our auto-mapping solution for predictive tracking. We now added information about your reader's locations in a more comprehensive way. Now the shadowtrack is additionally shown as an elevation profile, also.

To better decide about placing the readers its locations are projected on both:
  • in the map and
  • in the elevation profile, even for events with multiple laps.
  • The list shows the "Offset" (distance on the shadowtrack from the start location) and the "Distance" from the shadowtrack for each mapping.

What is auto-mapping? Corresponding to the reader's location(s) our algorithm places the reader automatically on the shadowtrack.
  • If the reader is placed in laps its location will be mapped on each lap automatically.
  • If the reader is moving (such as a TrackBox in a car or on a canoe) each read has its own location.
  • If the reader is located > 50 m from the shadowtrack the prediction ignores its reads.

Custom command added to batch actions

Advanced users of our Tracker Management asked for the ability to send custom commands to many selected GPS trackers with one click. ... instead of sending the same command to another GPS tracker one by one.

To increase the efficiency while configuring your GPS devices, we've now released the feature that lets you send custom commands. This function can be applied to the active devices of your tracker management.

Select the devices, click "Batch Actions" and choose "Custom Command".

Alerts now linking to the device

We integrated links into the monitor now. Each alert refers to the corresponding entry in the list automatically. With this new feature, you can work even more efficiently with our security dashboard.

New Racemap Tracking App released

We've got new Racemap Tracking apps out in the stores! We think our improvements are going to be a big help for organizers, race directors, and timers to conduct real-time tracking of participants. New features available with the new app version:

  • Automated non-movement notification
  • Seamless flow when participants join live tracking
  • Push notifications to target user groups such as participants of a certain event or all users of a custom app (beta)

Needless to say, the new release is available for all of our custom apps. More about user-friendly live tracking in our documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/how-to-use-live-tracking/tab-keys

Short name added for POIs

We've been asked for this new feature in the race visualization: Short name for points of interest (POI) to improve customizing your tracking maps.

Now, when you're looking at a race visualization, you'll be able to see the short name in the map, sidebar, and elevation chart. You can even select a background color for the short name. The full name of the POI remains visible in the sidebar as additional information. Edit the POI settings in the map settings of your tracking map.
