Enhancements in the tracker management

We’re excited to introduce a suite of enhancements to the Tracker Management dashboard designed to give you clearer insights and smoother workflows with your GPS trackers.

Hidden Tabs Made Visible

The details component now highlights when certain tabs are invisible. Simply hover over the “...” indicator to reveal which tabs aren’t currently displayed, so you or the account to whom you've lent your GPS devices never miss an important metric.

Transparent Offline Reason

We’ve overhauled how we determine and display a device’s connection state. Now, if a tracker goes offline, you’ll see the reason - such as “TCP connection to RACEMAP closed” - ensuring you have accurate information at your fingertips. This clarity helps you diagnose connectivity issues faster.

Dynamic Sorting Across Connection, Data & More

Sorting the devices table now works more intuitively. Whether you’re looking at connection or other time-based metrics, the dashboard will automatically order entries according to the age of the information.

All information about the tracker management can be found in our documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/tracker-management

Visualization and Alert Settings Update

Our latest release brings enhancements to our race visualization & tracker management, improving your RACEMAP experience:

Default color option

  • New color picker: Easily set the default base color of your tracking maps with the new color picker in visualization settings.
  • URL override: You can still change the color directly via URL parameter. For more details, please check our documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/how-to-use-live-tracking/iframe#custom-color

Enhanced alert management

We’ve improved the insights for the crash alert (or "man down"-alert, or "motion sensor"-alert) in the tracker management.

  • GTMSA Message Integration: For Queklink GL3xx GPS units, the tracker management now displays whether the alert is active and shows the set sensitivity.
  • The crash alert is processed in the safety monitor. More about our monitor: https://docs.racemap.com/how-to-use-live-tracking/monitor

M2M SIM Card Integration for Tracker Management

We're excited about the deepened integration of our M2M SIM cards into tracker management, reducing friction for users running their GPS devices with our SIM cards. With this release, you can now easily activate or terminate SIM cards directly within tracker management. Additionally, we've added two new bulk actions that allow you to activate or terminate all SIM cards for a list of trackers at once.

  • For more details on our M2M SIM cards, please visit: https://racemap.com/gps-tracker#sim-subscription
  • Learn more about RACEMAP tracker management here: https://docs.racemap.com/tracker-management

Additionall, you can now select to show the SIM status in the tracker dashboard. Never miss to activate a terminated SIM card after the off-season.

Improvements on Messages List in Tracker Management

We have enhanced the messages list in tracker management to improve communication between your GPS trackers and RACEMAP server, and to better detect when a message is not delivered.

Given that the reliability of sports live tracking depends on robust communication between devices and the platform, we’ve made the following improvements:

  • Details for each message: Comprehensive information is now available for every message, allowing insights into the communication process.
  • Enhanced communication feedback:Clear status feedback is now provided for each command, making it easier to identify if a command has not been sent to the device.
    • Scheduled
    • Acknowledged
    • Not Acknowledged
    • Failed to Send
  • Message timing & retries: Each message displays the time elapsed since its creation and its initial transmission attempt. If a device does not acknowledge the message, the system will automatically retry sending up to three times.
  • Transmission method: The update shows whether a message was sent via SMS or TCP communication. Note: SMS messaging offers a more reliable connection. This feature is supported when using our M2M SIM cards.

The Queclink GL3XX devices offer the deepest integration, supporting advanced acknowledgment communication mechanics for a more reliable tracking experience.

These enhancements are specifically designed to ensure robust communication, which is critical for the reliability of sports live tracking.

Enhancements in tracker management

Our latest release brings a series of improvements to tracker management, designed to fully leverage the potential of your GPS devices. These updates streamline device maintenance - enabling you to update configurations & upgrade firmware - while delivering advanced insights for optimal performance.

Optimized maintenance of multiple devices

  • Seamless Updates: Easily update configurations and upgrade firmware to ensure your devices operate at their best.
  • Tailored Settings: Define optimal settings for your specific use case and adjust them quickly as race conditions change.
  • Diagnostic Insights: Access advanced insights to troubleshoot issues such as battery drain and poor reception.

Enhanced operational status overview

  • Activity Clarity: Two new columns in the device table now differentiate between movement and non-movement states, providing a clear picture of your devices’ activity and helping prevent unintentional misconfigurations.

  • Network Visibility: A new network field displays the current network preferences (LTE, NB, and 2G).

  • Clear configuration feedback: When loading a configuration, all device responses are now displayed during the update, giving you immediate feedback on the success of the process.

These enhancements empower advanced users to minimize the downtime of devices with a lost connection to the server. With clear feedback and diagnostics, you can quickly identify and resolve connectivity issues, ensuring your devices stay connected during operations.

Most features have been optimized for Queclink GL3xx devices, for which we have developed the deepest integration in our system—making them our most reliable and fully supported option.

Exciting Enhancements in RACEMAP Tracking Platform

We’re excited to introduce several updates designed to improve your RACEMAP experience, enhance live tracking reception, increase the safety and reliability of your sports tracking service for greater peace of mind.

1. Tag and Collection Sharing

You can now share a tag or a collection of specific devices with another user, making teamwork during device preparation for events much easier. Sharing tags simplifies coordination across multiple accounts while keeping access rights secure. To grant access as an editor or borrower, you must explicitly assign permissions for the shared trackers.

2. Tracker Notes

In the Tracker Management > Infos tab of the GPS tracker, you can now add notes for individual devices. This feature helps you document key details and enhances overall device organization.

3. Improved Support for Queclink GL310 and GL320

For Queclink GL310 and GL320 devices with the latest firmware, we’ve added operator blacklist information. This enhancement helps you identify potential reception restrictions when using devices across different countries.

  • The Tracker Dashboard analyzes whether specific operators are blacklisted.
  • The feature provides the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) of blacklisted operators.
  • Additionally, it displays the operator name and country, offering greater clarity and actionable insights.
