Set leaderboard as default screen in tracking app

There are specific events such as activity challenges or virtual races where the progress of the participants' activities is more relevant than their current location. For that reason, we have been asked to enable our tracking apps to show the leaderboard as the 1st screen when users open the event in the app.

We added two options in the visualization section of each tracking map:

  • Default app screen (either the map or the leaderboard)
  • Disabled app screen e.g. to hide the tracking map from publicity

Meitrack MT90 commands added

We added commands for the meitrack MT90 GPS tracker to the Tracker Management. The meitrack MT90 is the 9th GPS device that can be remotely controlled in our tracker management.

For active devices in our tracker management, you can now work with the following commands to efficiently remote control your meitrack MT90 GPS trackers:

  • Reboot GSM
  • Reboot GPS
  • Sleep mode on
  • Sleep mode off
  • Report interval
  • Send custom command

Dashboard for predictive live tracking

Racemap tracking platform provides a solution for live visualization of a races from sporadic reads of the timing system. We call it predictive tracking (prediction). We now published our new dashboard for the prediction showing insights and giving feedback to improve your predictive live tracking and supporting your team on the race ground.

The dashboard is separated into four sections:

  • Status: Checklist for data and settings which are required to conduct predictive tracking. Additionally, there is an automated check of the forwarding settings in RACE|RESULT.
  • Readers: The locations of readers are shown on a map when we receive reads. There is a hint when readers are placed too far from the shadowtrack and its location can not be mapped. This means its reads are not considered for prediction (dropped reads). Additionally, the shadowtrack is shown as an elevation profile with the corresponding readers' locations. A reader can be mapped to several locations of the shadowtrack, automatically as a reader in laps is mapped to every lap.
  • Transponders: Shows the last received read for each transponder. Additional information is provided: recorded- and received timestamp, location of the last read and the total number of reads for each transponder.
  • Reads: Showing raw data Racemap receives from your timing system account.

Status added in monitor

With our monitor we provide a dashboard automatically showing the safety status of participants. Users feedbacked to prioritize filtering and highlighting the relevant information. For that reason, we reworked the monitor to improve its useability in the race office. The two most important enhancements are

  • Column added with status tags, which let users hide devices of participants with DNS- or DSQ-status.
  • Alert stream supports selecting and highlighting the corresponding entry in the device list.

Share access to your tracking maps

Now you can share and remove the admission to working in your single-, group-, and stage maps with other Racemap users.

Just add the account email of your coworker in the "Advanced" section of your tracking map. Access is enabled right away and your coworker can adjust all event settings. The initial creator of the tracking map remains the charged account.

This new access feature helps you in various scenarios of your tracking business:

  • Working in a team: share the workload when preparing a tracking map.
  • Supporting live tracking of 3rd parties with temporary access to their event.
  • Temporary access to your reference events when presenting the tracking solution to clients.

SOS enabled for mictrack MT825 GPS tracker

Racemap now supports SOS alerts for the mictrack MT825 GPS tracker. If the GPS device is active in Racemap Tracker Management our safety monitor processes SOS alerts.

Elevation profile shown in prediction

We received questions about our auto-mapping solution for predictive tracking. We now added information about your reader's locations in a more comprehensive way. Now the shadowtrack is additionally shown as an elevation profile, also.

To better decide about placing the readers its locations are projected on both:
  • in the map and
  • in the elevation profile, even for events with multiple laps.
  • The list shows the "Offset" (distance on the shadowtrack from the start location) and the "Distance" from the shadowtrack for each mapping.

What is auto-mapping? Corresponding to the reader's location(s) our algorithm places the reader automatically on the shadowtrack.
  • If the reader is placed in laps its location will be mapped on each lap automatically.
  • If the reader is moving (such as a TrackBox in a car or on a canoe) each read has its own location.
  • If the reader is located > 50 m from the shadowtrack the prediction ignores its reads.

Custom command added to batch actions

Advanced users of our Tracker Management asked for the ability to send custom commands to many selected GPS trackers with one click. ... instead of sending the same command to another GPS tracker one by one.

To increase the efficiency while configuring your GPS devices, we've now released the feature that lets you send custom commands. This function can be applied to the active devices of your tracker management.

Select the devices, click "Batch Actions" and choose "Custom Command".
