Duplicate events, keep eveything
This release is all about the finish line being easier to reach — for spectators, sponsors, and for you — the provider of live tracking. The live visualization now remembers which participants you were watching and lets you share exactly your selection, multiple sponsor logos rotate so each of your partners gets shown, and duplicating events keeps your team and your custom tracking apps. Stage groups, participant imports and the Connection Chart all got a round of fixes that remove small annoyances.
Your player view stays yours — and you can share it
Select your favourites in the tracking map and they stay picked. Your favourites and even your replay position (time scale) are now remembered in your browser, per event, so coming back means picking up where you left off. Live viewers always return to live — the time scale position is only kept for replays.
There is also a new share button. Open it and choose exactly what your link should carry: the selected participants, the moment in the race, the viewport you framed. Copy the link or hand it straight to your phone's share sheet. A link you build on a desktop shows the same on a phone, so what you send is what they see.
Every sponsor gets their turn on screen
Sponsor logos on the tracking map used to be picked once and never changed — on a phone, where only two logos fit, the other partner logos were never shown. Logos now rotate on both the tracking map and the leaderboard, and every single one has been on screen.
For a title sponsor there is now a pinned flag in the Sponsor tab. A pinned logo never rotates away, while the rest share the remaining space. The row also follows your chosen alignment, so a centred row really puts your main partner in the middle.
Tracking map loads faster and stops stalling on group maps
Opening a tracking map now sends 60% less data — on a large event with 2000 participants that is roughly 1 MB down to 375 kB. Hidden tracks and unused layers are no longer sent at all.
Two long-standing annoyances go with it. Live group maps could fail with a cryptic memory error near the start of an event; the cause was two separate timing bugs in the player, both fixed. And editing a track, point of interest, split or map layer now really updates what viewers see — previously the player could keep serving the old geometry from its cache.
Let Safemap show your external map layers
External map layers you configure under Map → External Layers now render in the safemap, exactly as they already do in the tracking map. They sit underneath the layer of protected zones, tracks, markers, participants, and alerts, and stay there when you switch between Terrain, Satellite and Hybrid.
Duplicating an event keeps your team & tracking apps
Duplicating previous events used to strip the access list (editors) and drop the connected custom tracking apps, so you needed to re-add the same colleagues and re-link the custom apps. The duplicate dialog now has checkboxes for both — keep the editors, keep the custom apps.
Passcodes and QR codes work properly in stage groups
Passcodes for stages are back. A stage now shows the passcode of the stage group. You can generate keys, additionally.
Participant import: Removing the IMEI in RACE|RESULT releases the tracker
When you clear a participant's IMEI in RACE|RESULT, the GPS tracker is now detached from the participant in RACEMAP. Previously, the tracker stayed attached. A device you've attached manually in RACEMAP is untouched.
Note: Participants whose IMEI was already removed before this release stay linked with the device. Unlink them once by hand, or add and remove the IMEI in RaceResult one more time.
Keep participants in order according to your import source
When you synced participants without start numbers, their order was scrambled. In Participants → Import, we've now added the option Keep participant order from source, to keep the sequence in the participant table. Manually added participants stay below the imported records.
Leave the switch off to sort the participant list according to the start-number, entries without a start number always go last. The import also shows how many records carry a start number, and what that means for your order.
Connection Chart: deeper insights, on less screen
The Connection Chart has been reworked. The three header cards are replaced by a compact toolbar, so on a regular screen the chart is visible without scrolling. Delay, Battery and Network are toggle pills you can read at a glance, device events sit behind a searchable dropdown, and the statistics fold into one summary line you can expand when you need the details.
Finding location data got easier: while the date picker is open, every day that has points is marked with a dot, so you no longer drag the range around blind. Hovering links the crosshair across both charts, and everything is shown in your local time. The page also lives at a URL that matches its name now — old /admin/track/… links still work.
Note: Network insights (opertor, cell, 2G, LTE) are supported only when your GPS trackers are running with our M2M SIM cards.
Tracker Management: Event history no longer comes up empty
If one of your trackers had been used in an event you are not allowed to see (e.g. when you rent your GPS trackers to other event editors), the events tab of that tracker showed nothing at all. It now lists every event you are allowed to see and leaves out the ones you cannot.
RACEMAP tells you when if its outdated
If we deploy while you have a tab open, it kept running the old RACEMAP version. Now it notices. The tracking map, leaderboard, and elevation chart refresh quietly; in the backoffice you get a notification with a Reload button.
Notifications
Notifications have moved to a single, consistent style across the whole app — and they now show up on pages where they were silently dropped before, including upload, the player, the leaderboard, the tracker management, and the cost calculator.
Smaller fixes you will notice
Batch updates in the protected zones configurator keep your selection afterwards, so you can run several changes over the same set of zones without re-picking them. Dragging rows in the Tracker Manager now also works from the keyboard, dragging an unselected row moves that row rather than your old selection, and a file the app cannot accept says so instead of pretending it will take it.
