We’ve released a suite of new features that provide clearer insights into your tracker communications with RACEMAP. Designed specifically for Queclink GL3xx GPS trackers - and scalable across many devices - these enhancements improve understanding, usability & reliability of devices during a race.

Device Event Settings

Each device’s settings tab now displays the activated device reports, indicating which events are being communicated by the device. Building on our previous work with tags (filters, NoF & Fix tag at Location column), we’ve implemented a consistent and user-friendly interface for the new device events. The following events are supported:

  • Power On
  • Power Off
  • Connected with External Power Supply
  • Disconnected from External Power Supply
  • Low Battery
  • Start Charging
  • Stop Charging
  • Periodical Device Info Active
  • PDP Connection Activated
  • Ignition On
  • Ignition Off

Enhanced Track Chart

Our system now shows an even richer timeline of device communications. The interactive chart allows you to explore these events in detail, providing a comprehensive view of device communication with our system. The updated track chart displays additional events, including:

  • Heartbeat
  • Device Turn Off
  • Reboot
  • Device Info Report

Additional Improvements

Improved Note Box: The note box has been enhanced for better usability and clarity.

Gear Interface: The gear icon applies commands to selected devices, now with the number of selected devices clearly displayed.

Clear Descriptions: We’ve added detailed descriptions for key power settings and connection timestamps, ensuring you have all the information you need at a glance.

Predictive Tracking Enhancements

Our latest release brings many enhancements for our predictive tracking solution: Your timing data now appears more lifelike, allowing you to dive into the data and optimize predictions even during the race.

Backend-Driven Filtering

  • Improved Performance & Reliability: We’ve moved the reader ID and transponder ID filters to the backend.
  • Unified Reads Display: The reads tab now consolidates all detections within the set event times into one comprehensive table.

Improved Start Time Insights

  • Enhanced Transparency for Start Times: We identified issues with start times in prediction events, especially those with many participants.
  • New Block in Status: A dedicated block has been added to the prediction setup’s status section to indicate potential issues with participant start times.
  • Scenario Differentiation: The new block differentiates between various start time scenarios.

Enhanced Analysis Section

  • New Identifier Column: New column displaying userId | customerId has been added for each starter.
  • Improved Read Source Identification: This update helps resolve cases where some reads in the analysis section weren’t visible in the reads section. Knowing the customerId of the reads allows users to better identify the source and adjust event settings accordingly.

New Geo API Release

We’ve launched our latest Geo API, providing all geo elements - the shadow track, lines, splits, and points of interest for a specific event. This enhances data exchange with third-party applications and enables seamless automation, keeping your operations updated with the latest event data.

  • Automated Video Production – Instantly update the race track in your tracking map settings, making the latest data dynamically available for live broadcasts.
  • Third-Party Integrations – Easily synchronize geo elements with external platforms to improve event tracking, visualization, and analysis.

We’d love to hear how you’re using the new API! Share your feedback so we can continue fine-tuning it to meet your needs. Explore the full documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/data-api/geo-elements

Exciting Enhancements in RACEMAP Tracking Platform

We’re excited to introduce several updates designed to improve your RACEMAP experience, enhance live tracking reception, increase the safety and reliability of your sports tracking service for greater peace of mind.

1. Tag and Collection Sharing

You can now share a tag or a collection of specific devices with another user, making teamwork during device preparation for events much easier. Sharing tags simplifies coordination across multiple accounts while keeping access rights secure. To grant access as an editor or borrower, you must explicitly assign permissions for the shared trackers.

2. Tracker Notes

In the Tracker Management > Infos tab of the GPS tracker, you can now add notes for individual devices. This feature helps you document key details and enhances overall device organization.

3. Improved Support for Queclink GL310 and GL320

For Queclink GL310 and GL320 devices with the latest firmware, we’ve added operator blacklist information. This enhancement helps you identify potential reception restrictions when using devices across different countries.

  • The Tracker Dashboard analyzes whether specific operators are blacklisted.
  • The feature provides the MCC (Mobile Country Code) and MNC (Mobile Network Code) of blacklisted operators.
  • Additionally, it displays the operator name and country, offering greater clarity and actionable insights.
