New map and elevation chart showing accepted reads

We added an interactive map with elevation chart in the analysis section of our prediction dashboard. This new tool provides a quick overview of how & where the passings have been detected, their corresponding loction on the shadowtrack and addtional information about segments. Using this tool you can enhance the predictive live tracking even during the ongoing race.

Deep integration of RACE RESULT

Predictive tracking processes sporadic detections from a timing system and shows a race visualization in real-time. The participant markers move smoothly in the interactive map. Prediction enables an effortless live forecast of all participants and is a scalable tracking solution for mass events.

For RACE RESULT timers we developed new tests and auto-checks. Now, our prediction dashboard provides clearer feedback on settings & on forwarded data. We support the timekeeper even more effectively and prevent unintentional mistakes when setting up the event before and while live-tracking a race.

  • Auto-check, if forwarding to Racemap is set in track box settings,
  • Auto-test, if forwarding to Racemap is working,
  • Display the locations and the mapping of the track boxes and
  • Import and sync participant data

Our users spend less time docu reading but do more and better live tracking. More about predictive live tracking in our documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/predictive-tracking-with-data-from-timekeeping

Rest duration added in the leaderboard

At long-distance endurance events, the organizers need to know the resting time of the participants during the race. We now added this value to our leaderboard add-on. The rest duration is calculated from all coordinates with a speed less than 1 km/h within the event start- and end time. You can easily configure the leaderboard with the needed values in the add-on settings.

More options in the grabber

Our grabber is a handy tool to poll our live data API and directly show race data in real-time in a browser tab. Use this solution to seamlessly provide real-time participant data such as speed, distance to go, or gap for your video productions. No coding skills needed.

With the new version of the grabber, you can now set

  • Multiple deviceIds respectively startNumbers to show specific participants only. (Instead of showing all participants or only one.)
  • The number of devices in lead showLeaders eg. in order to show data of the five leaders only.

Download files and all information about our grabber tools to easily extract live data from our API are summarized in our documentation: https://docs.racemap.com/data-api/grabber.

Request firmware version and ICCID

We were asked to add the "Request device settings and -info" command to tracker management. Done for you. With the new command, you now can remotely query the firmware version and ICCID of the inserted SIM card of your PRO devices. This information helps you to work with many GPS devices on a professional level.

Active state column in tracker dashboard

We added a helpful enhancement to the tracker management. The new state column provides clear information on the activation of each device. With the state column, you easily keep the overview and use the tracker management more effectively with regard to potential costs.

  • Green: The device is used and remains active for a specific period of time. All features of tracker management are usable.
  • Blue: The device is unused. Tracker management is not charged for this device. All features of tracker management are usable and with usage, tracker management becomes chargeable for this device.
  • Grey: The device is archived. Tracker management is not charged for this device. No feature of tracker management is usable for this device. You have to unarchive the device in order to get advantage of tracker management.

Detail information about command queue

We now provide more information about the communication state between your GPS trackers and our tracking platform. Our devices management dashboard shows three columns for the number of errors, pending and scheduled commands for each device.

  • ERR - Error, indicating possible issues: Command has been sent to the device. Racemap did not receive a corresponding ack answer from the device. Error is auto-checked after seven days.
  • PEN - Pending: Racemap will send command as soon as the device opens a socket with Racemap or the device sends a state message such as location.
  • SCH - Scheduled: Racemap will not send command before a given date/time.

With this update in our tracker management, you can more efficiently remote control many GPS devices at once: https://racemap.com/admin/trackers.

Analysis added to prediction dashboard

We've added handy analyzing tools to our prediction dashboard to help you timers conducting predictive live tracking of your races. The data set can be filtered for every participant.

  • Two diagrams show the deviation between our extrapolation and the real data. The time when reads are sent to us is highlighted also, to better understand the impact of delayed data.

  • The list of all accepted pings and a list of all received pings, which included the dropped pings.

Segment speed added in prediction

To improve predictive live tracking you can now split the shadowtrack into segments and we added the option to set a specific speed for each segment. The segmemt speed is the speed at which markers are moved from the beginning of the segment until the speed is corrected by a new read or by a new segment (with a new specific speed).

  • At a triathlon event segments for swimming, cycling, running, and transition.
  • At a trial event segments for uphill and for downhill.

The prediction dashboard provides the speed information in a clear manner.

You can set the segement speed in the map tab for each split separatly.
