More flexibility calculating the start time in the leaderboard

Our latest update to our leaderboard add-on is designed to make the calculation of start timestamps even more versatile and user-friendly. Your feedback from race scenarios has shaped this update, and we're confident that it will enhance your experience while working with our leaderboard.

What's new?

A frequent challenge we've encountered is dealing with incomplete geo data both before and after the race's start geofence. In cases where GPS devices may not have established a GPS fix or the set report interval is relatively lengthy, our live ranking now offers a robust evaluation.

How it operates

Now, when the initial coordinates leading up to the start geofence are missing, our leaderboard seamlessly steps in. It automatically utilizes the first ten coordinates following the start geofence to calculate an average speed. This speed is used to extrapolate back to the start and to determine the timestamp of the start passing. This smart adjustment ensures that even in scenarios with incomplete geo data, the start time is realistically estimated.

Stay in command

Should you prefer to set the start timestamp manually or utilize it from a generic import, you have the flexibility to easily override the calculated start time. This empowers you to fine-tune your data for precise and reliable results.
