A new tracker, a clearer view of every device

This release brings a new GPS tracker to RACEMAP and makes it easier to see what your devices are doing. Tracker Management now supports the Teltonika ATC700, and the Connection Chart gets a faster way to pick a periode, so you can check a device's history in a few clicks. Track previews come alive on hover, and finding people in the back office now tolerates typos.

What's new

Bring the Teltonika ATC700 to your next race

In the Tracker Management you can now add the Teltonika ATC700 as a new supported tracker type. Once it reports, its positions show on the visualization. You also see its battery level, signal strength, GPS fix, and the mobile cell it is connected to. Pressing the SOS button raises an alarm. When the device starts or stops moving, RACEMAP gets an event. The device stores positions on memory if it loses its connection.

The new ATC700 setup page covers the server settings, the send interval and how to keep the connection open between reports. The device also appears in the GPS devices overview. One more thing comes with it: battery voltage is now stored for every tracker that sends it, including the GL300 and Mictrack devices.

Jump to any moment in a tracker's history

In Tracker Management, the Connection Chart has a new time range selector in place of the two date pickers:

  • Quick ranges such as "Last 15 m", "Today" or "This week", found with a short search.
  • Exact ranges from a calendar or typed in. You can also type relative times like now-6h.
  • Moving around: the arrow buttons step back or forward by one window, and zoom out doubles the window.
  • Recent ranges: your last few ranges are one click away.
  • Time zone: UTC, your browser's time, or the local time at the tracker's location. Axis labels and tooltips follow your choice.

A range like "Last 6 hours" keeps moving as the chart refreshes, so you can watch a live device without reloading. The range is part of the page address, so a link you send to a colleague opens the same view, and old links still work. On a phone, the toolbar and chart now fit a small screen with controls that are easy to tap. The debugging guide explains each option.

A cleaner tracker table

In Tracker Management, the top tracker table no longer shows a second scrollbar next to its own. That stray outer scrollbar appeared whether the table had rows or not. The same fix tidies up the event list and the transponders table.

See your course come to life

In the event list and on the event editor's Basic tab, a track preview tile now shows an animation when you hover over it. A dot traces each track from start to finish, then the preview fades back to the static image. If your event has a shadow track, only that one is animated. Otherwise every visible track runs at once in its own colour. On the Basic tab, the track preview now has the same frame as the logo drop zone, and both previews zoom in slightly when you point at them.

Find people even when you misspell their name

In global search across the back office, finding users is more forgiving. A typo, names in a different order or part of an email address still find the right person, and the best matches come first. You still only see the users you already had access to.
