RACEMAP platform updates

Set Presenter Mode in Visualization Settings

The presenter mode (largeMode) can now be set directly in the visualization settings as an event default.

Previously, the presenter mode was only available as a temporary state through the URL hash. This meant production and broadcast teams had to manually re-enable it after every reload.

With this update:

  • Presenter mode can now be persisted as part of the event configuration
  • Tracking maps automatically load in presentation-ready mode
  • Dots, flags, distance markers, and POIs are displayed larger for improved readability on studio screens and broadcast overlays

This update is especially useful for video production teams working with live sports storytelling and large-screen visualizations.

New NET State in Tracker Management

We added a new state in the NET column for devices where the API of our SIM provider does not send a disconnect timestamp.

Previously, SIM cards without a disconnect time could appear active even when they had stopped transmitting data.

The new behavior:

  • SIM cards are now marked yellow if no data has been received for more than 30 minutes
  • Improves operational visibility and troubleshooting in the tracker management
  • Makes inactive or unresponsive devices easier to identify at a glance

This improvement shows a more accurate network status for monitoring and support teams.

Complete Rework current API

We fully redesigned the current API to improve reliability, flexibility, and analysis capabilities.

Key improvements

  • More reliable and predictable API behavior
  • Expanded parameter support and improved query capabilities
  • New interactive tools for advanced analysis workflows even during your event
  • Better support for live storytelling and post-race analysis

Removed parameters

The following misleading parameters were removed:

  • currentSpeedDuration
  • liveDelay

These parameters caused confusion and inconsistent interpretations across integrations.

Built for modern broadcast workflows

The new API approach is designed specifically for modern sports production teams:

  • Faster access to live and historical tracking data
  • Better synchronization for broadcast and replay systems
  • Improved tooling for commentators, analysts, and video editors
  • Enables more flexible integrations for custom visual storytelling

Video production teams covering sports events will especially benefit from the new analysis capabilities.
