Safemap controls, accurate tracker status, and smarter color tooling
A focused round of improvements across Safemap, Tracker Management, and the event editor. Less hunting for information, fewer surprises when it matters.
Safemap
See the workload before working through it
Safemap now shows the count of alerts and notifications based on set filters and in total. You know what's waiting for review without opening it first.
"Reset" clears everything, in one action
The Reset button now clears filters, sorting, and the search together. Reset becomes active whenever any of those are set, so you always know there's something to clear.
Deep-link to any map position
The URL now adds ?lat=..&lng=..&zoom=.. to open Safemap at a specific location and zoom level — useful for external tools or dashboards that need to land users on a precise area. Position now also persists across reloads after any manual pan, zoom, starter selection, or chart hover.
Tracker Management
Configuration update status now reflects what actually happened
Previously, a config push to a Queclink GL3xx tracker showed green (Complete) as soon as the device acknowledged the message — even when the actual update failed. A later failed download or apply step was not shown in the messages table.
The status now tracks the full config update cycle:
- Command received → DELIVERED
- Update applied successfully → COMPLETE
- Any failure code → ERROR
New columns: non-movement detection & crash detection
Both now appear as dedicated columns in the tracker table providing, as those settings are required to us the full potential of Safemap
SIM card status has been added to the filter tree.
Available for RACEMAP M2M SIM cards.
Settings — Color Handling and Participant Preview
Colors fallback gracefully
Color properties across the map editor, elevation chart, and marker pings now fall back to defaults when undefined. No more blank or broken visuals from a missing color value.
Preview participant markers before the event goes live
The participant panel in the visualization tab now shows a live preview of how markers will render. See the result before spectators do.
Color picker remembers your recent colors
Recently picked colors are stored locally and appear as presets across all color pickers in the app. No more re-entering the same hex codes across sessions.
Hierarchical device filtering in the participant list
The participant list now supports filtering by device class and type, with a "No device" option included. Device column is sortable now.
